Description of Work

The North Carolina Symphony is seeking an enthusiastic Executive Office Coordinator to join our team! This position provides administrative support to the President & CEO, the Executive Office and the Symphony Society and
Foundation Boards of Trustees. This position operates at the center of the organization, coordinating priorities across departments, supporting governance, and ensuring the efficient execution of executive and board
related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the President & CEO’s calendar, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Manage the Executive Office, draft, edit, and prepare correspondence, reports, presentation and strategic documents.
• Serve as liaison to and between Vice Presidents and staff, facilitating communication and follow through.
• Lead coordination and execution of all Society and Foundation Board and committee activities (16+ committees; 60+ trustees).
• Plan and manage Board meetings, including logistics, materials, presentations, and minutes.
• Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment between Board activity and organizational priorities.
• Support cross-institutional initiatives such as donor engagement, concert operations and VIP experiences, and Legislative/Public Affairs coordination

Recruitment Range: $39,244-$55,702

  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination.

Position/Physical Requirements

  • Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-5, with flexibility 40 hours a week.

  • Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Frequent travel between work sites as needed.

The mission of the North Carolina Symphony is to be North Carolina’s State orchestra, an orchestra achieving the highest level of artistic quality and performance standards and embracing its dual legacies of statewide service and music education.

Founded in 1932, the North Carolina Symphony (NCS) is a vital and honored component of North Carolina’s cultural life. Veteran’s and National Guard Preference
