Job Description
The Director of Social Services will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of social services provided on the Geri Psych Unit. The Social Worker will work directly with the Unit Director and other licensed staff on the Unit along with the Medical Staff to ensure timely, appropriate DC Planning, follow up care and exchange of information between care providers based on the individual needs of the patient.
Education: Master’s degree in social work and previous experience in mental health/geriatric patient populations.
Experience: 1-year mental health experience preferred in a Geri Psych Unit.
Licensure/certification: State License in Social Work. CPR certification required. CPI certified.
