Technical Translator

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Technical Translator to join our team in Tajikistan.

Position open for Local.

Candidate requirements:

• Local candidates (Tajikistan) are preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical translator or in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Translation, Linguistics, or a technical field (e.g., Engineering, IT, or Science) 
• Proven experience in translation of technical, engineering, or contractual documentation
• Strong command of English and Russian, Tajik 
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with terminology used in construction, engineering, or industrial projects is preferred
• Ability to work with large volumes of documentation and meet deadlines

Key responsibilities:

• Translate technical, contractual, and administrative documents (EN–RU-TJ / RU–EN-TJ)
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and correct use of terminology
• Review and proofread translated documents
• Support project teams with interpretation (if required)
• Maintain translation records and support document control processes
• Coordinate with internal teams to clarify technical terminology
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company standards
• Provide interpretation support during meetings and discussions
