Job Summary
This role is an onsite opportunity in the Comstock Park, Michigan area. The Account Coordinator, supporting the Intermodal & Truck Brokerage Operations department, is responsible for coordinating daily freight movements across North America while delivering exceptional customer service to key customer accounts in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine and secure the most profitable equipment type and/or transportation mode
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments per customer requirements
- Procure and dispatch carriers
- Communicate with carriers, customers, and railroads
- Manage equipment pools
- Ensure loads are picked up, moving on schedule, and delivered on time
- Obtain arrival and departure times from carriers
- Ensure timely termination of empty intermodal equipment
- Process accessorial charges
- Audit work orders
- Analyze reports to assist in properly managing customer freight
- Assist in the review and submission of customer pricing requests
- Support teammates and provide operational backup as needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings and weekends

Minimum Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred but not required
- 3–5+ years of transportation, logistics, customer service, or related operational experience preferred
- Intermodal transportation experience preferred, but not required
- Cost management experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Sense of urgency and ownership mentality
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
