JOB ROLE SUMMARY
- Responsible for managing changes within a component(s) of a solution and working towards learning other components of the solution.
- Works with and communicates with necessary levels of Acxiom and client under the supervision of more experienced architects regarding the design, development and implementation of the change on an existing solution.
- Accountable for gathering information for the change.
- Assists with scoping the effort for the change and assist in providing design architecture for the customer change.
Activities are focused on managing changes within a component and assisting with researching issues for client data inquiries. The associate in this role is learning all of the technical aspects of a component of a solution to increase their skill set and contribution to be prepared for the next level of architect. While learning, they are expected to coordinate technical aspects of changes, issues and research.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assigned to existing Acxiom client(s) requiring on-going change to solution component. Works with the account team within the organization regarding the requested change to an existing design.
- Assists required teams on solution design for issues management and research
- Provides tier 1 solution component support (technical issue management) by researching and resolving issues
- Focuses on client values and satisfaction
- Gathers stakeholder requirements and assists with transforming the information into a logical process flow. Assist with researching possible approaches to help promote the most efficient solution method for the change. Assist with ensuring design fulfills functional and technical requirements.
- Utilizes standard methodologies to ensure overall data integrity is maintained.
- Provides support during testing phases, verifying the solution design and test results meets the approved client requirements.
- Adheres to the guiding principles of the Acxiom Delivery Methodology, with primary focus in the design and requirement domains for smaller projects where a separate business analyst is not included in the project budget.
- Develop subject matter expertise in assigned solution component.
- Engages in project communications with client using a consultative approach under the guidance of more experienced architects.
- Assists with technical and business stakeholder requirements and overall project plan as it relates to the assigned solution component. Ensures data solution design fulfills functional and technical requirements. Monitors solution enhancement progress in order to stay abreast of possible issues and future challenges.
- Begin developing a sense of proactive-ness and ability to understand work that needs to be done with supervision
- Adhere to Acxiom solution standards, estimates, processes, policies and procedures. Utilizes standard methodologies to promote consistency and drives adherence to standards within designated teams. Becoming familiar with other department’s methodologies including project management and development methodologies.
- Begin developing the skill/practice of self-study by staying informed and evaluating the latest industry news, trends, products, services, competitors and relevant existing and emerging technologies.
- Begin developing understanding of pre-sales process focusing on scoping and estimation.
KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES:
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of clients’ and Acxiom’s technical and business environments within a solution component.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Client Delivery/technical roles or Bachelor's degree from 4 year college/university
- Begin training on use of Acxiom Delivery Methodology Design, Project management and Change Management procedures
- Begin understanding of Acxiom organization structure and culture, the Acxiom Delivery Methodology and typical Delivery Tools. The associate also needs to build an understanding of the core Acxiom products, services, and solutions along with the Solution Center Framework.
- Begin design creation, elicitation, and planning with guidance from more experienced architects.
- Involved in technical, development, or account related projects or processes that encompass lower complexity change projects. The associate is expected to be able to interface with internal Acxiom stakeholders and communicate effectively.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.
