Make your mark for patients
Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Define and drive China regulatory strategy for UCB’s candidates and assets, ensuring alignment with global development plans and clear communication of strategic options, risks, and opportunities.
- Act as UCB’s China regulatory subject matter expert, maintaining current knowledge of the regulatory environment, shaping policy where possible, and representing UCB in external forums and with key health authority stakeholders.
- Lead, develop, and resource a high-performing China regulatory organization that fosters psychological safety, constructive debate, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Serve as an active member of the China development team, connecting stakeholders behind a common vision and enabling aligned China development solutions.
- Champion change and modern ways of working, including the thoughtful use of technology and AI solutions to accelerate drug development and regulatory approvals.
- Build credible internal and external relationships and secure the resources needed to deliver UCB’s China regulatory and development objectives.
Experience:
- 15+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, including significant regulatory leadership experience in China and a strong track record of regulatory achievements.
- Deep understanding of drug development, lifecycle management, and global regulatory requirements, with the ability to connect China and global strategy.
- Current knowledge of the China regulatory environment and demonstrated ability to interpret policy, assess impact, and shape the external environment through engagement with authorities and trade associations.
- Interest in digital innovation, modern technology, and AI-enabled solutions that can accelerate development and regulatory approvals.
