If you are an experienced Human Resources Advisor or a Human Resources professional that is ready to take the leap into employee coaching and conflict resolution and work with a team practicing innovative approaches to labour relations, you will want to be a part of our team. As the Human Resources Advisor, you will be responsible for providing proactive and just in time human resources consultation, recommendations and services to CapitalCare leaders. You will be working out of our campuses with your focus on employee relations in partnership with our Unions, collective agreement interpretation and support in recruiting, onboarding and workforce planning initiatives. As a part of the larger Human Resources Team, you will be providing advice, interpretations and recommendations, researching initiatives, information gathering and committee participation within a team environment. You will work with a high degree of independence in collaboration with your Human Resources Manager to plan and implement human resource processes that complement related policies, legislation & collective agreements. Education A recognized post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or a degree in Commerce with an HR focus is required. Experience Two years' recent Human Resources generalist experience with a focus on multiple roles within the Human Resources discipline is required. Skilled at legislation, labour relation processes and best practice, with an emphasis on coaching and problem solving. Direct experience working within a unionized environment is strongly preferred. Previous experience interviewing and selection processes knowledge is required. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Taleo and INFOR will be considered an asset Personal Competencies You have the ability to demonstrate the CapitalCare values and always give exemplary customer service. You have the ability to work within a team, where collaboration and consultation is critical while fostering working relationships with all stakeholders. You must be able to make recommendations, find solutions and problem solve. You are a self-starter who can work on your own and will seek out ways to continuously improve service and own knowledge. You will hold effective communication and listening skills, in order to deal tactfully and professionally with people at all levels and within our values. You are flexible, adaptable and can effectively deal with changes in priorities and processes easily.
