The role
Rabobank is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in banking, particularly across digital banking or deposits products, to support key growth initiatives that enhance the client experience. You will work closely with business stakeholders, the digital product team & cross-functional squads to ensure initiatives are clearly defined, customer‑led, & aligned to strategic objectives.
Top Role Accountabilities:
Initiative shaping & ownership
- Partner with the Product Owner / Product Lead to shape initiatives, refine problem statements, & align to product strategy and business outcomes
- Ensure clarity on the underlying “why,” expected value, & success measures before initiatives enter delivery
- Take ownership of complex or high-impact analysis workstreams end-to-end
Stakeholder engagement
- Engage business stakeholders as a trusted partner, confidently facilitating discussions & challenging constructively
- Work closely with business teams to articulate the value, purpose, benefits, & expected outcomes of initiatives
Customer-focused analysis
- Apply a customer-centric mindset, viewing processes & solutions through the eyes of the customer
- Develop current & future state process models, identifying opportunities to simplify & optimise the end-to-end client journey
- Collaborate with design and delivery teams to inform customer journeys, screen flows, & experience-led solutions
Delivery execution
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities including workshops, working groups, & validation sessions
- Translate insights into well-defined requirements & user stories, supporting delivery through build & implementation
- Contribute to change management activities including rollout, training, & adoption support
Capability uplift
- Set & uphold high standards for business analysis deliverables, ensuring consistency, clarity, & quality
- Lift overall team capability through coaching, feedback, & best practice adoption
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in banking or financial services
- Demonstrated ability to lead analysis workstreams & operate independently in complex delivery environments
- Experience mentoring more junior team members & uplifting team capability
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Deep understanding of customer experience principles & what “good” looks like from a client perspective
- An ability to translate customer insights into clear business opportunities & structured requirements
- Strong analytical, facilitation, & storytelling capability
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical & non-technical audiences
- A confident, collaborative mindset, with the ability to challenge constructively & drive better outcomes
