Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking administrative and coordination support for Hong Kong Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Risk Management Education (RME) compliance, APAC legal learning, and knowledge and research services. You will act as a key coordinator across legal and business services teams to support the successful delivery of knowledge and legal learning priorities across the region.

Reporting line to the APAC Head of Knowledge and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

CPD and RME compliance

  • Manage end-to-end coordination of the Hong Kong office’s CPD and RME training, including:

    • accreditation and record keeping;

    • updating the CPD training events calendar and records; and

    • monitoring completion of CPD and RME requirements and proactively following up with  our lawyers to meet the Hong Kong Law Society’s CPD and RME requirements for their role (including trainees, new partners, and registered foreign lawyers) and updating internal records accordingly.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for CPD and RME-related queries with the Hong Kong Law Society and escalating as necessary.

  • Coordinate CPD accreditation submissions, training outlines, attendance records and supporting documents for internal and external training programmes.

Legal learning

  • Coordinate APAC-wide legal learning initiatives, including harmonisation of training calendars, tracking attendance and feedback, supporting legal learning delivery and maintaining records and repositories.

  • Coordinate regional legal learning and AI innovation programmes and supporting the planning, delivery and follow-up of the same.

  • Assist with knowledge inductions and onboarding materials for new joiners.

Knowledge management and research services

  • Support APAC research requests and work closely with the wider Research Services teams globally, through leveraging global tools and resources.

  • Manage physical and online library and research resources, databases and knowhow collections.

  • Assist with the management of research database subscriptions, including access queries, renewals and usage reporting.

  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues globally and participate in knowledge projects and initiatives as required.

  • Support the APAC Head of Knowledge and Compliance in delivering integrated knowledge and legal training initiatives across the region and coordinate with other business teams on cross-function knowledge and legal learning projects.

  • Duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in business needs.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational and project management skills in a complex and demanding professional environment, with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams to deadline.

  • Problem solving ability, including the capacity to apply Hong Kong Law Society rules into practice for CPD and RME queries.

  • Experience of seeing a project through from conception to completion and the ability to troubleshoot problems at short notice.  

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in key research tools and legal information databases (e.g. Practical Law, Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc), and familiarity in knowledge management platforms.

  • Keen interest and awareness of the commercial world, global business and legal news, as well as the use of technology in effective knowledge sharing.

  • Strong legal research skills and the ability to concisely summarise findings.

  • Flexibility: willingness to take on what is needed and to support others in the team.

  • Trusted to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with generative AI tools (such as Copilot, and similar technologies) to support research, knowledge management, learning administration and process improvement.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
