Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Engineering Manager leads the engineering team in developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC machining processes to ensure operational excellence, quality, and cost efficiency. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and mentor process engineers, CNC programmers, and technical staff.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production and project deadlines.
- Oversee design and implementation of CNC machining processes for new and existing products.
- Maintain adherence to AS9100 and other applicable standards.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Identify opportunities for automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Support new product launches and engineering changes in coordination with design teams.
- Develop and manage engineering budgets, including tooling and capital equipment.
- Forecast resource needs and plan for future capacity requirements.
Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years in CNC machining or precision manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining principles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing. Preferred
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and advanced manufacturing technologies. Preferred
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or Project Management (PMP). Preferred
Physical Demands:
- Frequent sitting, working at a computer for extended periods of time.

Pay & Benefits
Rate: In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
