Hospitalist
Full Job Description
Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused, small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. The Hospitalist will provide clinical care for patients admitted to BCH. Hospitalists will engage in direct patient care activities and medical/clinical practice as the principal component of his/her overall professional responsibility.

- Day-to-day patient contact/rounding/care management that actively encourages and includes professional input from all members of the patient care team
- Assessment, evaluation, diagnostic determination, on-going treatment, necessary referral for consultation, medications/therapeutic orders, and determination of readiness and planning for discharge for inpatients
- Work to create a positive work culture within cross-departmental teams and align this work with other Hospital initiatives
- See patients in our Rural Health Clinic once Hospitalist duties have been completed for the day

REQUIREMENTS
- Current Virginia License as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
- Current DEA certificate
- Insurability (malpractice)
- Current ACLS certificate (can be obtained upon hire)
- Prior hospitalist experience required
