8Job Description Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager for Respiratory Services the Respiratory Care Intern is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels for all equipment and supplies used by the department. This job will include removing small oxygen and air compressed cylinders and resupplying full tanks at the appropriate par levels in designated areas throughout the hospital.Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATION
High School Diploma
Current Respiratory Student of a Respiratory Program is required, or a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
EXPERIENCE
1. Knowledge of compressed gas cylinders.
2. Knowledge of respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators.
3. Knowledge or experience with ventilation testing prior to patient use
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support Required at hire
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
2. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
3. Manual dexterity to handle medical instrumentation.
4. The ability to move and/or lift large objects, and Medium weight loads frequently up to 50 lbs.

Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth’s compensation philosophy.
