Job Description

The world still has coverage blind spots. You could help eliminate them at Skylo.

Skylo has pioneered a standards-based approach to satellite connectivity. We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites. No special hardware, no entirely new networks. Just billions of existing devices, suddenly reachable anywhere on Earth. We're not building toward this future. We're already in it.

Our direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers, in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. And we're just getting started.

At the heart of it all is Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN: a 3GPP standards-based, cloud-native platform that seamlessly bridges terrestrial and satellite networks. It's the infrastructure that makes true anywhere, anytime connectivity possible.

When you join Skylo, you'll work at the intersection of three markets reshaping how the world stays connected: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. Enabling people outdoors and critical workflows in the world's most remote places.

This is a rare chance to work on technology that matters, at a company that's already proving it works

This role can be performed remotely with a preference for candidates located in Mountain View, CA where we are 3 days per week onsite.

Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

Skylo is hiring a Principal Product Manager to own the services portfolio, what Skylo sells to customers today (data, voice, messaging) and the new services we bring to market next. You will set pricing, drive new services from concept to first commercial deployment, and scale new services as they are proven out. You will engage MNOs, OEMs & customers to read where the market is headed, navigate across engineering, commercial, standards, and finance teams, and pursue opportunities independently against today's roadmap and toward bets we haven't named yet. We move at startup pace. The role will evolve based on what the right person brings to it.

How You Will Contribute

  • Own Skylo's MNO services portfolio — data, voice, messaging, and the new services we add next. You will be the product home for what Skylo sells to MNO partners today and tomorrow.

  • Engage MNOs and OEMs continuously to read where the market is headed. You will translate emerging needs into product direction, identify what we should build next, and pursue it without being asked.

  • Drive new services from concept to first commercial deployment within the connectivity portfolio. You will spec, prioritize, and own the rollout end-to-end.

  • Take ownership of new service categories as they prove out. Once a net-new category lands its first paying customer, you become the new home owning productization, pricing, partner roadmap, and scaling across MNO partners.

  • Own pricing and unit economics for the services portfolio. You will set list prices, package services, and define the floor keeping us margin-aware while staying commercially competitive.

What We Look For

  • 12+ years in product management, telco strategy, MNO/MVNO engagements, or wireless systems engineering. Master's counts toward years.

  • Experience taking connectivity services from concept to commercial deployment — with shipped outcomes and revenue you can walk through end-to-end.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage MNOs commercially. You can name partners you've worked with directly and services you've launched with them.

  • Working knowledge of the MNO/MVNO end-to-end stack, roaming interfaces, 3GPP, NTN, D2D, and connectivity service pricing models.

  • AI-native operator. You use modern AI tooling in your daily workflow and can describe exactly how.
