What we’re looking for
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating standout guest experiences
Confident, friendly leadership style with strong communication skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bar, restaurant, or customer-facing hospitality role
Current Duty Manager Certificate and LCQ
Flexible availability across a 7-day roster (days, nights, and weekends)
What you’ll be doing
Supporting the Venue Manager with the day-to-day running of Astrolabe
Leading shifts, motivating the team, and providing real-time coaching
Delivering warm, memorable service that keeps locals and visitors coming back
Managing compliance, health & safety, and licensed premises requirements
Handling core financial tasks including cash-ups, labour control, and end-of-day reporting
Assisting with onboarding, training, and developing new team members
