Kinship Coordinator

The Kinship Coordinator (KC) is responsible for partnering with families involved in child welfare and potentially other systems, in their natural environment, to maintain the family unit. The KC collaborates with the family and other entities to assess and refer them to services such as Family Centered Treatment (FCT), other family preservation models, or kinship care. The KC may carry out aspects of kinship home certification and case management activities for assigned families and youth. The KC always provides individualized, child centered, family focused, culturally competent, strengths based, goal driven and individualized services.
