The Medical Surgical Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) at United Health Services (UHS) provides patient-centered nursing care to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, injury, and medical-surgical conditions. Guided by UHS values of Trust, Compassion, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation, the Med Surg Ortho RN supports patients through all phases of care, with a focus on mobility, pain management, safety, and recovery.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit:

Memorial 6 Med-Surg Orthopedics, UHS Binghamton General Hospital

Work Shift and Schedule:

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range:

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Sign-on Bonus Incentive:
Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current NYS RN License

Preferred:

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
