Job Summary

The HR Business Partner (Regional) is a hands-on, commercially minded HR leader supporting business operations across Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia. The role partners closely with regional and country leadership to align people strategies with business objectives, ensuring HR solutions drive performance, productivity, and organizational effectiveness. This position manages day-to-day HR operations while contributing to strategic workforce planning and the execution of the regional HR agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, development, and retention across Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia
  • Partner with business leaders to understand commercial priorities and translate them into practical people strategies that support growth, productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Act as a trusted coach and advisor to managers on workforce planning, organizational design, performance issues, and employee engagement
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations cases, balancing business needs with local labor law compliance and employee experience
  • Proactively analyze workforce data, trends, and risks to identify bottlenecks and recommend actionable, business-focused HR solutions
  • Plan, lead, and execute regional HR initiatives such as benefits rollouts, engagement programs, policy implementation, and change initiatives, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Support business transformation and scaling efforts by advising on talent, structure, and capability requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness across countries
  • Partner closely with HR team as a sparring partner, contributing insights and recommendations that support informed business decisions
  • Ensure HR practices support operational excellence while remaining compliant with local regulations and aligned with regional standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; business or commercial exposure is an advantage
  • 5-8 years of experience in a regional HR generalist role, preferably supporting multiple SEA markets
  • Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end HR operations in a commercial or fast-paced business environment
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and employment practices in Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia
  • Demonstrated ability to align HR initiatives with business outcomes, such as performance improvement, cost management, and capability building
  • Proven experience advising senior leaders and influencing decisions through data, insight, and sound judgment
  • Experience leading and executing regional HR projects with a strong focus on impact and execution
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and communication skills
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery in a multi-country environment
