Medical Assistant Apprentice | Primary Care | Full-Time

The CMA Intern works under the direct supervision of a Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse, or other independently licensed provider. The CMA Intern will be actively enrolled in an accredited CMA program or the ICATAP Apprenticeship Program. The CMA Intern is expected to perform duties within their scope of practice, not to exceed what they have completed in their CMA program. They will collaborate with the precepting CMA, RN, advanced practice nurse, or other independently licensed provider to provide a safe, efficient environment for the family medicine patient and staff by working following Hayward Area Memorial Hospital standards of practice and by adhering to Hayward Area Memorial Hospital policies/procedures and universal precautions.
