Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Raising tender queries about the ambiguity found in the designated trade works, and reporting to department manager for issuance of consolidated tender queries for the consultant’s reply
- Examining carefully the designated trade works in particular to the Bills of Quantities (BOQ) by means of sorting, summarizing and consolidating those relevant BOQ trades by trades, making quotation inquiry to the trade subcontractors and the materials suppliers
- Completing the self-preliminary estimation of individual trade works and summarizing the those cost estimation in the cost analysis form, adding the quotations received from the subcontractors and the suppliers to the cost analysis table at the same time
- Reviewing the tender requirements and the corresponding quotations from the subcontractors and suppliers; vetting the cost analysis from the subordinate; and determining the initial cost of the project;
- Reporting to the department manager the analysis of cost estimation
- According to the project cost determined in the adjudication meeting and the approved tender price to be submitted, adjusting the unit price of the item list; and printing out for tender submission
- Categorizing the quotations of subcontractors and suppliers; and scanning into server for reference
- Collecting the tender cost and filing as cost database
Analyzing the terms of the main contract and arranging the sub-letting work according to the Subletting Schedule
- Inquiring quotations from the subcontractors and preparing for analysis
- Cost estimation for trade works
- Assisting in preparing subletting documents and subcontracts
- Inputting data to computer, copying and various clerical work
- Analysis of sub-letting conclusion with department manager
- Coordinating the execution of the Sub-contract and, if necessary, clarifying the terms of the subcontract
- Proposing and assisting in resolving disputes between Main Contractor and subcontractors
- Executing and supervising the subordinates performing their duties in accordance with those applicable requirements of the company's quality assurance system:
- Assisting in implementing the Company’s IMS;
- Ensuring that the day-to-day operations are complying with the policies and objectives and requirements of the Company’s IMS;
- Monitoring the daily operation effective implementation;
- Feedback to management level about performance on implementing the Company’s IMS;
- Other duties assigned
- Obtain quotations from Suppliers & Sub-Contractors
- Request information from consultants for tender preparation
- Study tender documents including tender specification and drawings
- Prepare tender analysis, tender submission & subletting works
- Prepare reply to tender queries
General and Technical assistance to Tendering and Subletting Department
Job Requirement:
- Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Surveying or Building Studies
- 6-10 years of relevant working experience in Tendering or Subletting
- Familiar with MS Excel and typing in Chinese and English
- Proficient in Chinese & English
- Good communication and supervisory skills
- Hard working, able to work independently and overtime
