Job Description

NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITY | LAUNCH MANAGER | OFICINAS CENTRALES SALTILLO

Responsible for leading the planning and execution of production process transfers between plants, ensuring supply continuity, meeting customer requirements, approval of validations, and production stabilization at the destination plant, within the established time, cost, and quality. 

Primarily ensuring zero supply interruptions during the transfer, PPAP approved on time, PPM during ramp-up ≤ customer target or defined internal standard, compliance with project stages, as well as adherence to the transfer budget. 

Ensure process stabilization after the transfer by meeting the defined performance indicators (quality, capacity, and productivity).

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of process transfers (welding, assembly, stamping, painting) ensuring that time, cost, and quality goals are met.
• Develop and control the master transfer plan ensuring synchronization between the source plant and the destination plant, as well as alignment with Program Management and corporate areas
• Ensure continuity of supply to the customer throughout the transfer process
• Guarantee that transferred processes meet customer requirements, quality standards, and required industrial validations
• Lead the approval of PPAP, Run@Rate, and process validations
• Ensure the closure of the “Open Issues List” prior to SOP or critical stages
• Serve as a link between the source plant and the destination plant - corporate Program Management - Finance - Commercial areas and Customer (when applicable)
• Coordinate interdepartmental execution ensuring the participation of Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain
• Lead project follow-up using structured tools (PDCA-Wall or other defined systems).
• Monitor compliance with the approved transfer budget, including CAPEX
• Identify, assess, and manage operational, technical, and financial risks associated with the transfer
• Lead and develop the team of Launch Engineers assigned to the project

Skills

Education Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering

Experience Requirements

• +7 years in the Automotive Industry. Proven experience in transferring production processes, launching or industrializing products, and coordinating across multiple plants.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and listening ability
• Strong knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC), Lean Manufacturing, Program Management, Project and cost evaluation
• Knowledge in stamping and welding processes - desirable.
• English advanced
