Summer Activity Camp: Ceramics / Art Instructor (Magnolia Community Center)

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Activity Camp Instructor – Ceramics / Art to lead youth art and ceramics camps at Magnolia.

These camps serve youth ages 6–12.

Council: 150 – Magnolia
Hourly Wage: $27.00–$29.50
Status: Part-time, Seasonal
Desired Start Date: June 22, 2026

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

  • Shifts available:

    • 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

    • 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

    • 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

Summer Activity Camp: Ceramics / Art Instructor Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead safe, age-appropriate art and ceramics activities for youth ages 6–12

  • Instruct basic ceramics techniques and creative art projects

  • Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment

  • Set up and clean up classroom spaces, tools, and materials

  • Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors

  • Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures

 

Summer Activity Camp: Ceramics / Art Instructor Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience teaching art and/or ceramics in a recreational, educational, or community setting

  • Experience working with children ages 6–12

  • Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
