Summer Activity Camp: Sports Instructor (Magnolia Community Center)

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Activity Camp Instructor – Sports to lead sports and activity camps for youth ages 6–12 at Magnolia.

Council: 150 – Magnolia
Hourly Wage: $25.00–$27.50
Status: Part-time, Seasonal
Desired Start Date: June 22, 2026

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

  • Shifts available:

    • 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

    • 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

    • 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

Summer Activity Camp: Sports Instructor Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead safe, age-appropriate sports and recreational activities for youth ages 6–12

  • Teach basic sport skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship

  • Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment

  • Set up and break down equipment and activity areas

  • Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors

  • Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures

 

Summer Activity Camp: Sports Instructor Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience working with children ages 6–12 in a recreational or camp setting

  • Experience leading sports or physical activity programs

  • Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
