Job Description
Role Purpose:
To develop and implement policy framework of the Audits, inspections process and update associated documentation as well as procedures and protocols for Air Navigation Service Providers, Aviation facilities, events such as light sport aviation, extreme aviation and competitions in the Emirate of Dubai. Further, Oversee and support the implementation of Law (7) 2015, Airspace safety and Security, as well as the associated Resolution (4) 2017.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Civil Aviation Policy: Review and Recommend to make necessary changes to regulations and ensure that all staff are aware of Civil Aviation Policy and regulations
2. Airspace Safety: Ensure the safety of Dubai ATS, and actively involved in GCAA Safety Audits for Air navigation service providers to maintain their license.
3. Capacity Growth: Provide information, advice, guidance, study and analysis the capacity growth at Dubai Air Navigation Services, to match the requirement.
4. Review areas of improvement and implement initiatives and processes to improve ATM operational functions.
5. Audit & Audit Reports: Follow up scheduled audits as per the plan for General Civil Aviation Regulations (CARS). Ensure efficient and prompt distribution of audit reports, audit finding notices and non-compliance/non-conformance reports.
6. Heliports Certification: Oversee the certification process for heliports in Dubai.
7. Safety Management System: Regularly review and Makes recommendations in areas of expertise to development of Safety Management Systems within DCAA, as well as Dubai’s aviation sector.
8. Prepares special studies and reports to development of Safety Management Systems.
9. On job Training of staff and presenting reports and briefings to senior management on the progress and benefits of ATM initiatives to DCAA operations.
10. Provide advice and perform other airspace safety job related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Air Traffic Controller program
Certifications:
- Air Traffic Controller License
- SMS
Professional Experience:
- At least (10) years’ working experience in air traffic control, or regulation management.
