To meet the growing demand from consumers, our customers are increasingly asking us to develop new applications (plant-based drinks, hybrid creams, dietary products…) where our range of emulsifiers help to stabilize the food matrix, and where we can integrate nutritional ingredient, such as medium-chain triglycerides. As part of the R D team in charge of food applications, you will be responsible for developing new product prototypes and their associated characterization and application tests. As part of your internship contract, your main tasks will be to: - Carry out bibliographic research on these applications (plant-based drinks, hybrid creams, dietary products…): synthesize information, present and propose actions - Study the products on the market: compare formulations, characterize differences, give figures by geographical or positioning status, etc - Carry out formulation tests: recipe creation, process optimization, raw material sourcing, etc. - Implement and monitor characterization measures: development of new assays, stability study, rheology and texture, sensory validation (if applicable) - Scale up testing from laboratory to pilot scale with external partners (if applicable) - Help the team in the daily lab tasks, contribute to other running projects, participate in new protocols settings linked to our new kitchen lab (hygiene procedure, inventory, etc.)
