Crossmatching and issuing blood components and products to collecting ward staff
Validating haematology and transfusion tests
Reviewing blood films
Performing manual tests such as tube antibody investigations, red cell elution’s, Kleihauer testing and IMT testing
Liaising with PSA’s, ward staff, couriers, haematology registrars and consultants, in person and on the phone
