Job Summary:
Lucchese Boots are the highest quality cowboy boots in the industry. Expeditor’s main responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of customs and/or special orders. Maintains close communication with Supervisors and other departments and keeps system up to date with any changes. In addition, this position will be aligned with Lucchese values, consistent policy administration and a safe work environment.
Scope of Job:
An Expeditor Apprentice plays a crucial role in ensuring that leather parts and patterns are available when needed to keep production pairs running smoothly and on schedule. The job covers supply coordination, inventory management, of leathers, and cross-departmental communication to prevent delays and maintain efficiency. As far for working in excel spread sheets to maintain records of production for boot pairs and Wip status and production progress.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Expeditor Apprentice will perform the following operations on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities may be modified to meet business needs:
- Receives daily work orders from supervisor.
- Enters work order information in the system to search for operations in NetSuite.
- Responsible for taking work order request to corresponding department.
- Maintains and updates records of the status of work order.
- Reply to emails for updates on a boot order for the stores.
- Act as liaison between internal departments and Production’s Director on the status of stock, customs/special orders.
- Address unexpected delays or issues that may arise in stock, the customs/special orders.
- Maintain and update records of the status of work orders.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that all operations have the necessary resources to fulfill customs/special orders.
- Maintain communication with Make ups team on any last-minute changes to customs/special orders.
- Will be a team player and will work closely with a team of Expeditors.
- Responsible for overseeing certain number of customs/special orders.
- Keeps the working area clean and organized.
- Research and locate old WIP in the production floor.
- Work and process Scrap when necessary.
- Assist other working areas as necessary.
General Responsibilities

- Perform additional duties assigned by Supervisor.
- Support and comply with all company policies and safety procedures.

- Minimize rework by adhering to process specifications and visual inspection standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility to rotate stations without compromising efficiency or quality.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in boot manufacturing, leather goods production, or similar industrial manufacturing environment required.
- Bilingual preferred
