About the Role
At Watlow, we are looking for a highly mature and strategically minded Senior Buyer who can make autonomous decisions grounded in deep analysis, professional judgment, and a clear understanding of business impact across cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
This role is critical to ensuring material supply continuity, supporting evolving business strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Place purchase orders aligned with procurement and business strategy
Confirm purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring quantities, pricing, and delivery dates align with Watlow objectives
Proactively follow up on open orders to ensure on-time shipment
Analyze supplier performance and material supply risks; execute mitigation actions
Lead complex negotiations with strategic suppliers, ensuring visibility into capacity and production planning
Evaluate reorder points and safety stock levels
Collaborate closely with Planning, Production, Logistics, Trade & Compliance, Warehousing, Quality, and Accounts Payable
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, lead-time reduction, and supply optimization
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and corporate guidelines
What We Are Looking For
Proven and solid experience as a Senior Buyer in industrial or manufacturing environments
10+ years of professional experience
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Advanced negotiation capabilities
Risk management expertise
High level of autonomous decision-making
Emotional and professional maturity to handle pressure and uncertainty
Ability to prioritize, challenge assumptions, and propose data-driven solutions
Clear, firm, and results-oriented communication style
Experience managing international suppliers (90%) and domestic suppliers (10%) - Fully bilingual in English is a MUST
Bachelor’s degree in relted field.
