Request Foods is seeking a Cost Associate to join our Finance team and partner closely with our Manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting requirements. Through cross functional collaboration, this role will provide value added analysis, observations and recommendations for process improvements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform the daily yield reporting for manufactured products.
- Review daily labor reporting, following up with Manufacturing on discrepancies.
- Close daily work orders, while analyzing variances and performing issue resolution.
- Provide weekly and or monthly reporting related to: Labor (Paid vs Reported) and Plant Utilization, Inventory Turnover, Volumes Produced etc.
- Maintain and enhance production and yield templates.
- Routine pricing, change orders and Bill of Material file adjustments for select customers.
- Perform cost and profitability reviews of existing products.
- Engineering Change Order processing for standard yield adjustments.
- Monthly test counts of maintenance inventory.
- Assist with changeover to new ERP
- Other projects as assigned by the Manager of Cost Accounting.
Key Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 2–4 years of accounting, business, or related professional experience preferred.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to accuracy and details.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing and conflicting assignments, with strong follow through.
