Job Description
Your tasks
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell DCS, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and related automation platforms (e.g., Experion PKS, C300, ESD, FSC. field PLCs, Subsea Control related systems)
- Deliver technical advice to enable efficient operation and maintenance of the control- and safety systems
- Manage all access levels to all control systems (ESD, DCS, PLCs)
- Perform SiL verification, Proof testing, Loop testing & Functional testing as required to maintain a fully functioning system
- Operational Focal point for the service contract for the DCS/ESD systems and schedule/coordinates the regular visit for routine inspection and maintenance. Also mobilises system specialist on call off to carryout diagnostic and repair on the DCS/ESD system
- Review daily and when required the Alarm Management reports, hightlight and investigate the critical alarms, and setup and follow-up remediate actions
- Provide technical support for process control systems, including system upgrades, patch management, and cybersecurity measures
- Develop and implement control strategies, logic modifications, and system enhancements to optimize production and ensure process safety
Your profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Control Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline)
- Relevant professional experience: >9 years
- Minimum 9 years’ experience as a system or automation engineer in the oil & gas industry, with hands-on experience in Honeywell DCS systems or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of process control, automation, and instrumentation principles
- SIL certificate is an advantage
- Experience with system configuration, logic programming, and troubleshooting of Honeywell platforms
- Familiarity with offshore safety standards, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements
- Valid offshore survival and medical certificates (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) may be required for offshore visits
- Fluent in spoken and written English
