Job Description
The Department of Nursing is now accepting applications for part-time adjunct faculty for the B.S. in Nursing, clinical program. Candidates with a BSN may be considered based on the content area/program need. Preferred candidates will possess teaching experience in nursing, expertise in informatics, nursing leadership and healthcare administration will also be considered. Duties Responsibilities: ● Teach 1-2 courses per semester in an in-person format. ● Provide instruction at a baccalaureate level for undergraduate nursing students in one of the areas of specialty (MS, peds, women’s health, mental health, community, geriatrics) in the classroom or skills lab. ● Provide feedback to students via online learning activities and assessment of assignments submitted through the Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas). ● Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning. ● Provide academic advising and mentoring for students towards a future career and in their Christian faith. ● Remain current in their field by engaging in scholarly or clinical work and being active in professional organizations. ● Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members. Qualifications : ● A master's degree in nursing which includes clinical preparation in a nursing specialty and preparation for the teaching role. Doctorate preferred. ● Demonstrated expertise in a nursing specialty area. ● Two years of clinical experience in the area of instruction and a minimum of one year full-time equivalency in clinical practice preferred. ● Current California RN license ● Current CPR Healthcare Provider Card at time of hire. ● Possess a commitment to high-quality instruction in an in-person or online student-centered environment. ● Proficient in computer, online, and learning management system skills.
