In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy .Reporting to the Engineering GM, this role leads development of autonomous X-ray systems by driving system architecture, human-machine interaction; partnering with global cross-functional teams to deliver safe, patient-centric solutions that simplify clinical workflows and enhance imaging efficiency, reliability, and usability.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture for autonomous X-ray and intelligent imaging workflows.
- Drive integration of multi-modal sensors, control systems, and embedded hardware-software solutions.
- Develop and apply AI/automation technologies to enhance system intelligence and usability.
- Define and optimize human-machine interaction for simplified clinical workflows.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (R&D, clinical, product, regulatory) to deliver solutions.
- Ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of system designs.
- Translate product requirements into scalable, high-quality technical leadership and mentoring across engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in robotics, control systems, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field is required; PhD is strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of industry experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or advanced automation technologies.
- Proven experience designing and deploying real-world autonomous or semi-autonomous systems in complex environments.
- Strong expertise in multi-sensor integration, including vision, depth, force, and environmental sensing technologies.
- Deep knowledge of control systems, motion planning, and real-time system architectures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in embedded systems and hardware-software co-design.
- Experience with human-machine interaction (HMI) design and user-centric system development.
- Solid understanding of safety-critical system design and regulatory constraints (medical or equivalent industries preferred).
- Track record of technical leadership in delivering complex, cross-disciplinary engineering programs.
- Hands-on experience with system-level architecture for intelligent physical systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML techniques applied to perception, decision-making, or control in physical environments.
- Prior experience in leading or mentoring senior engineers and driving technical direction.
- Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written) for effective collaboration in global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across hardware, software, clinical, and product domains.
Desired Characteristics
- Background in tier-one companies in robotics, autonomous driving, drones, or advanced automation industries is preferred.
- Experience in medical device or healthcare system development is highly desirable.
- Strong system-thinking mindset with the ability to balance hardware, software, and user workflow considerations with AI technology.
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Passion for simplifying complex workflows through intelligent automation and intuitive design.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, clinical, and product teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and executives.
- High ownership mentality with a bias toward execution and measurable impact.
