Job Description
Job Purpose:
- The Advanced Practice Provider / Emergency Department RN at FAMILY HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT COMPANY LLC is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the emergency department. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform advanced clinical procedures and interventions as required.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and nursing students as needed.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations and provide critical care when necessary.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification or equivalent advanced practice certification.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an emergency department or acute care setting.
- Proven track record of working effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
