Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Engineering Tech, Level 3 to work in Lima, OH. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Test and repair United States Government (USG) GFM LRUs (Digital Electronic Control Units, cables, harnesses, etc.) for the USG Abrams line without voiding supplier warranties, support production line with functional units, and test and prepare LRUs for shipment to support fielding.
- Test and repair FMS GFM LRUs (Digital Electronic Control Units, cables, harnesses, etc.) for the FMS line without voiding supplier warranties, support production line with functional units, and test and prepare LRUs for shipment to support fielding.
- Sort and inventory excess GFM hardware and material for disposition actions by GDLS and separate excess material from GFM kits not used in production.
- Provide technical support for the assembly line on GFE and order spare parts that have been damaged or broken by assembly or material handling.
- Assist with verifying receipt of armor deliveries.
- Communicate via phone, email, and Microsoft TEAMS.
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 15 years specialized experience in working with/on tracked or wheeled combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity, working directly with PM offices, and working onsite at military installations
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent education, an associate's degree in a technical science field or some classes in engineering at an accredited university
Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
