Business Requirement Analyst
Job Description
- Elicit, analyse, and manage business requirements by organizing and leading workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings across business and technical teams.
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define, document, and maintain detailed business and functional requirements using standardized templates and tools.
- Analyse existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to optimize workflows and organizational performance.
- Develop and maintain business process models, value streams, and analytical documentation using approved modelling methodologies and tools.
- Conduct impact analysis, gap analysis, feasibility studies, and SWOT analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to provide actionable recommendations for process optimization and system improvements.
- Diagnose issues in existing systems, perform root-cause analysis, and define requirements for corrective actions and enhancements.
- Support quality assurance activities, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business requirements and agreed specifications.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to design and validate low-fidelity wireframes and ensure alignment between user requirements and system design.
- Contribute to user acceptance testing activities, including drafting use cases and validating system functionality against requirements.
- Ensure business requirements are accurately captured, prioritized, and tracked in systems such as JIRA for Agile development cycles.
- Provide Level 2 functional support to end users, analysing and resolving complex issues escalated from the Service Desk.
- Produce, maintain, and continuously update high-quality documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Recommend and implement strategies to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support and contribute to the preparation and delivery of training sessions for end users and team members.
Education & Certifications
- University degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or related domains are considered an asset (e.g., CCBA or equivalent).
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in business analysis within large organizations and complex information systems environments.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and business process analysis.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Hands-on experience in business process modelling and analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Experience conducting feasibility studies, impact assessments, and gap analyses.
- Familiarity with software quality assurance processes and user acceptance testing practices.
- Experience diagnosing system issues and performing root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of UX/UI concepts, including wireframing and user-centered design principles.
- Understanding of information systems, ICT environments, and business process optimization.
- Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
