Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motorsport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.
Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, HDPE, and PP.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Production Scheduler II will create the schedule by working closely with different departments to ensure work orders are prioritized and the production schedule/lines are running effectively to meet deadlines. The Production Scheduler II will modify the schedule to reflect pull-in and push-out requests based on customer and company’s need. The scheduler will also review the production reports on work order status/progress. This role should be able to ensure inventory is available or provide alterative solutions prior to creating the production schedule. Also, the person in this role should be able to review the production schedule and work orders to determine the status of the work orders completed for each production line.

MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Work closely with multiple departments by reviewing work orders to ensure the production schedule/lines are running
- Manage production scheduling for respected department two weeks in advance to align with customer demand, supply chain, and production capabilities
- Manage pull-ins and pushouts based on operations and supply chain constraints.
- Review production and work orders to determine material availability for production lines
- Review production reports on work order status/progress
- Review inventory levels and machine availability prior to creating the production schedule.
- Prepare routine reports and print documents for production lines as needed.
- Communicate with appropriate department on routine requests.
- Create, organize, and maintain files and records to ensure they are correctly maintained.
- Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, material requirements or material priorities.
- Review inventory of materials or supplies to meet production needs
- Make suggestions on alternate materials or supplies when items are not available
- Participate in the production scheduling meeting
- Follow the safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment)
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree preferred, however high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in production/inventory control related experience in a manufacturing environment. Composites a plus.
- Must have experience in a computerized MRP system.
- MS Dynamics D365 or similar MRP platform experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office specifically Excel and data base systems (FileMaker Pro)
- Effective communication skills
- Support multiple teams
- Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
- Able to work and communicate effectively with cross functional team
- Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner
- Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent attendance: ability to work overtime, and weekends when needed
Hourly pay range: $34/hr - $47/hr
