Kindergarten Paraprofessional

Hours: 3.5 hours
Class: IV (starting rate is $21.02 per hour)

Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract

Position Description:
The person in this position will be responsible for supervision of kindergarten students during the school day.  The successful candidate will work 3.50 hours a day and have the chance to support the learning of kindergarten students.  Duties include small group work/support, read alouds, 1:1 student interaction and assessment, supervision of an entire classroom, kindergarten recess, etc. Hours are 9-12:30.

• Experience working with young children, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to multitask and supervise students in an environment that is highly engaging

• Ability to communicate effectively with students
• Ability to provide positive and effective supervision
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to make decisions independently
