Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager. This role is onsite at our Washington, PA facility. Relocation within the United States is provided for this position.
Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies. Manufacturing 1.3 million units per week, this highly automated and fast paced environment places a high value on talented professionals that are focus on problem solving and efficiency.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end performance of a defined value stream(s) within a manufacturing environment. This role owns safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost results (SQDIP) while driving operational excellence through leadership of people, processes, and continuous improvement. The Value Stream Manager ensures effective cross-functional alignment, optimizes flow across all production stages, and develops a high-performing team to meet customer and business objectives
In this role you will:
- Own and lead the performance of the value stream, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across fabrication, assembly, material flow, and support functions
- Drive achievement of SQDIP metrics, including productivity, utilization, on-time delivery, inventory, quality, and cost performance, with full accountability for result
- Establish and maintain value stream management systems, including visual KPIs, tiered accountability meetings, and daily performance tracking
- Develop and execute production plans by partnering with Planning and Supply Chain to align demand, capacity, and workflow sequencing
- Manage capacity, constraints, and bottlenecks while optimizing flow for high-mix/variable demand environment
- Execute and manage production schedules, balancing demand, capacity, and resources to achieve on-time delivery
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (A3, 8D, standard work, 5S, visual management) to reduce waste, improve lead time, and enhance productivity
- Identify root causes of operational issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly employees to build a high-performing, accountable, and engaged workforce
- Champion safety and quality by ensuring compliance with all policies, promoting a zero-incident culture, and meeting customer specifications
- Own structure of the value stream, including monitoring labor, scrap, rework, and conversion costs, while driving cost reduction and efficiency improvements
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business from an accredited institution
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making
- Experience in high-mix / engineered-to-order manufacturing environments
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales & Marketing and Planning Teams (forecasting, production scheduling, capacity planning)
- SAP business system experience
- Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Direct managerial experience within Operations or Manufacturing environment.
- Experience utilizing DMM.
