Trenton, MO | Full‑Time | Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)
Supporting schools across Trenton, Milan, Princeton, North Harrison, and North Mercer.
💰 $7,000 Sign‑On Bonus for Eligible External Applicants
Salary Range
- Provisional Therapist (PLPC / LMSW): $53,000 – $72,000
- LPC / LCSW: $57,000 – $80,000
(Compensation based on license and experience)

What You’ll Do
As a School‑Based Therapist, you’ll provide trauma‑informed, student‑centered care in collaboration with school staff and families.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual counseling to students on‑site during school hours
Maintain a manageable caseload aligned with supervisory standards
Deliver prevention, intervention, and supportive services to reduce barriers to learning
Participate in treatment planning and staffing meetings, developing meaningful, goal‑driven care plans
Respond to emotional or behavioral crises with timely, compassionate support
Ensure continuity of care through follow‑up services and referrals
Collaborate with school counselors and community partners to connect students and families with resources
Conduct clinical assessments and interventions for students and families
Serve as a liaison for families, supporting coordinated, holistic care
Licensure Requirements
Candidates must possess—or be actively working toward—one of the following:
Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Preferred Family Healthcare provides complimentary clinical supervision for PLPCs and LMSWs.
Additional Qualifications
Experience (or interest) in individual, group, or family therapy
Ability to collaborate within school and community settings
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
