In this hands-on role, you’ll support daily operations through routine cleaning, sanitation, and safe equipment use while following infection control and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in offices, conference rooms, common spaces, bathrooms, shower rooms, clinic areas, and storage/laundry rooms
- Clean, sanitize, dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors, furniture, windows, restrooms, and common areas
- Empty trash/recycling and maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas
- Follow infection control, PPE, and universal precaution guidelines
- Adhere to safety procedures, including proper chemical handling, labeling, and storage
- Report safety concerns, hazards, or faulty equipment promptly
- Monitor, restock, and maintain cleaning supplies and organized storage areas
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and moving supplies/equipment up to 30 pounds
- Work throughout the facility and adapt to changing daily needs
- Complete routine housekeeping duties and additional assigned tasks
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized environment for participants, staff, and visitors
- Follow organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards while attending required meetings as needed
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in housekeeping/custodial work, required
- At least one (1) year of experience working with the frail elderly, required
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license
- Strong understanding of basic cleaning methods, housekeeping protocols, and safety protocols including the proper use of cleaning solutions/materials.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
