ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (SMT) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Mechanical Machining (f/m/x) at its Oberkochen site.

Your Role

  • Program, simulate and support mechanical machining operations in production using modern CAD/CAM systems
  • Select appropriate cutting tools and implement workpiece clamping and fixturing concepts
  • Define workflows, manufacturing and process time standards and document them in routing/production plans
  • Specify complex process flows for the manufacture of demanding mechanical components, taking into account industrial engineering, technological and economic aspects
  • Independently and together with a strong team, identify, analyze and eliminate root causes of disruptions in the production process to ensure on-time and defect-free delivery
  • Act as a central interface between Production, Engineering, Production Control, Design and R&D
  • Evaluate production equipment and tooling with regard to capacity and cost, and support the procurement process

Your Profile

  • State-certified Technician qualification in a relevant technical field or a comparable vocational qualification with further training as a Technician
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in mechanical machining, NC programming and production planning / work preparation
  • Very good knowledge of CAD/CAM applications (especially SolidCAM, PEPS) and solid expertise in defining machining strategies
  • Strong team player with a high level of self-motivation and an independent, structured and analytical way of working
  • Regular experience in recording and evaluating process times according to REFA methods
  • Good knowledge of SAP/MES, MS Office and SharePoint
  • Fluent German and good English
