The role:
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
Supporting the design, development and maintenance of data pipelines and data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies.
Working with data from a wide range of business and operational systems, including SAP and other enterprise platforms, helping to ensure it is reliable, accurate and accessible.
Collaborating with data engineers, integration specialists and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver practical data solutions.
Contributing to the team's transition towards a modern Snowflake-based data platform, learning and applying new technologies along the way.
Monitoring and troubleshooting data flows, investigating data quality issues and supporting continuous improvements across the platform.
Following data engineering best practices, contributing to code reviews, documentation and continuous improvements across the platform.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Some exposure to data, analytics, software engineering or reporting through previous work experience or personal learning.
Basic knowledge of Python and an interest in building a career in data engineering.
Experience working with data or analysing datasets to solve business problems would be an advantage.
Interest in cloud technologies and modern data platforms, with a willingness to learn Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
Strong learning agility and curiosity to learn new technologies, systems and business processes.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
