Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Emergency Services Technology

Job Description:

Instructor for EMS related class. Must have active State of Ohio EMS certification and Ohio EMS-I certificate to teach EMT/Paramedic class. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code as it applies to EMT and Paramedic. Knowledge of the National Curriculum. 
    Knowledge of lesson planning/syllabi creation and other Instructor common knowledge.

  • The ability and credentialing to perform as the lead instructor at certification level. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Instruct courses in either EMT, Paramedic or Anatomy and Physiology for Paramedics. 

Other Characteristics: 

  • Individual must be able to work alone and in groups. Be a self starter, patient and well versed in the EMS curriculum. 

Minimum Education/Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)  

  • Should be actively employed as a practicing EMT/Paramedic for a minimum of 5 years. Must have an Ohio Department of Public Safety EMS-I certification.
