Nursery Younger Toddler Staff


 

The Younger Toddler Nursery Worker is responsible to monitor children for health, safety, and well-being by following state childcare requirements and ministry standards and by communicating effectively with parents, staff, and the Nursery Director.


 

Provide Childcare
Monitor children for health and safety. Meet the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of each child and interact with children on an age-appropriate level.

Maintain Childcare Guidelines
Follow state childcare requirements and ministry standards that outline schedules and routines for feeding, diapering/potty training, napping, and engaging children. Provide a clean, safe, and organized environment that meets childcare and ministry guidelines.

Communicate Effectively
Communicate clearly with parents, staff assigned to your area, and the Nursery Director. Always maintain confidentiality according to established guidelines.

Assist the Area Coordinator
Maintain accurate daily records of childcare for the Coordinator and parents. Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Education

Required Education:

Preferred Education: College Degree - Education


 

Work Experience

Required Experience:

Preferred Experience: 1+ years in childcare


 

Physical Requirements and Skills

10 hours child care training annually, 40 hours child care training in first 15 months, Child and Baby First Aid, CPR, and AED, Must be able hear and see clearly, Physical stamina to lift and care for children in the corresponding age group, Working with Children, Work long hours

We reserve the right to fill this role at a higher/lower grade level based on ministry needs. An assessment may be required to be considered for this position.
