FINANCIAL ASSOCIATE

Under general supervision and in alignment with established policies and procedures, provides advanced technical and clerical support to the Financial/Business Officer of a department or unit. Collaborates closely with the Financial/Business Officer on tasks such as monitoring large budgets, preparing projections and cost analyses, managing grants and contracts, maintaining financial databases, and producing a wide range of financial reports. Responsibilities include account reconciliation, setting up financial tracking systems, and liaising with the purchasing department and vendors to track orders, resolve payment requisitions, and address discrepancies. Operates with a high level of independence, leveraging extensive knowledge of financial processes, policies, and regulations governing the department’s financial operations. May supervise staff, oversee human resources-related activities, or coordinate with external institutions on grants and contracts. Additionally, as a finance associate, you will support the finance director by managing account records, updating financial reports, and preparing data for audits, reviews, and tax purposes. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in financial management practices, and experience in a similar professional setting.

Hourly Range: $16.50-$26.80

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
