Job Description
Westpac Fiji is looking for a dedicated Computer Operator to support the smooth operation of our core banking systems.
This role is critical to maintaining system stability, supporting end-of-day processing, and enabling business continuity across Fiji.
How will I help?
· Manage day-to-day systems availability, data processing, and monitoring of critical channels and infrastructure.
· Perform production End of Day (EOD) processing for Fiji and PNG and action EOD requests for the Projects Team.
· Provide 24x7 technical support to the business, including late/long hours and weekend coverage when required.
· Administer access and users (LAN, AS400, Card Wizard), including user resets and AS400 user creation
· Action object/library/database restore requests on DEV systems in Fiji and PNG.
· Complete control checks including backup data verification and EOD completion; support MCC compliance activities.
· Maintain daily reporting for Fiji and PNG and support stationery ordering and stocktakes.
What do I need?
- Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related technical field.
- Customer service orientation and a strong customer focus.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Availability to work late/long hours and weekends when needed (24x7 support environment).
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Westpac EOD process.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Westpac IT infrastructure.
