Position Summary:
The Accounting Services Manager is responsible for the client service and management of a team of accounting professionals while providing accounting, cash management, financial reporting and financial management consultation services for a large portfolio of community association clients while ensuring professional services and outstanding customer satisfaction in line with the service level agreement and the company's guiding principles.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing client contractual service deliverables, review and approval of monthly financial reports and annual budgets while interfacing with the property managers, general managers, property developers, community association Board of Directors and third-party service providers on financial matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the company's guiding principles and respond to all calls/emails.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and regulatory statutes that apply to common interest realty associations.
- Ensure completion & compliance with client contractually service deliverables including review & approval of monthly financial reports & annual budgets.
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction and retention.
- Mentor, train, and develop staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Handle new client integration planning and staff mentoring
- Development and implementation of department and client community SOPs and internal controls.
- Resolve and troubleshoot escalated issues.
- Coordinating with other departments providing AP., Collections, Escrow, Information Technology & Transition services in the delivery of overall financial management services.
- Assisting with prospective client proposals.
- Financial consultation with property managers, general managers and community Board of Directors.
- Becoming a "subject matter expert" with the VMS technology platform with respect to the delivery of accounting and financial management.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Continuously seek ways to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attend monthly meetings and training meetings as required.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:
• Accounting degree from a 4-year accredited college/university preferred
• 7 years minimum experience as Accountant level or higher
• Previous 5 years' experience supervising an accounting department with a minimum of 1O employees.
• Knowledge of real estate, property management and/or outstanding industry experience (2+ years of recent experience) strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting theory and methods of accounting (accrual, cash and modified cash)
• Willing to learn new software and various state legislation that applies to common interest realty associations.
• Strong understanding of community association business and financial statements.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• High integrity, honesty, professionalism, and customer service orientation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach as needed.
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies).
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity to read printed materials, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
- Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in virtual meetings.
- Ability to work in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels.
Ability to work a standard schedule, with occasional extended hours as required
Pay and Benefits:
$85,000 to $95,000, depending on education and experience.
