Lindner Center of Hope is a nationally renowned psychiatric center of excellence located in Mason, Ohio, committed to providing state-of-the-art care to patients across all levels of care. We are seeking a Hospitalist to serve as the physician collaborator for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and to perform medical H&Ps and consultations on inpatient and residential units.
This role requires availability via phone and/or Epic Secure Chat for collaboration as needed, as well as an onsite presence once weekly to complete H&Ps and/or medical consults. This position will supports the University’s mission and commitment to academic excellence in both research and clinical care.
Essential Functions –Part-Time Hospitalist:
- Perform a history and physical to diagnose medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment and services.
- Review and analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Document findings, assessments, treatment plans, and actions taken in accordance with departmental guidelines and standards.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical, legal, and regulatory requirements that impact patient care.
- Participate in department’s continuous quality improvement efforts including review APP charts for FFPE, OPPE, and collaborative review.
- Provide education to other health care professionals.
- Provide direct and/or indirect supervision and collaboration with APPs, as required
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have all the following prior to effective date of appointment:
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Unlimited Ohio Medical License/License Eligible.
- Five (5) years applicable experience in clinical practice (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine).
