Automotive Service Technician (Diesel/Medium Duty & EV) - Greencastle Chevrolet

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel, medium-duty, gas, and electric vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and high-voltage systems
• Perform engine, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and EV system repairs
• Service diesel engines and EV components including batteries and charging systems
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues accurately
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols (including high-voltage safety)
• Accurately document work and communicate with service advisors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Stay current with diesel and EV training and certifications

Skills & Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of automotive technician experience required
• Diesel and/or medium-duty experience preferred
• EV or hybrid experience/training strongly preferred
• Experience with diesel engines (Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke) a plus
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety procedures preferred
• ASE certifications (Diesel or L3 Hybrid/EV) preferred or in progress
• Strong diagnostic, electrical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
