Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on background in Spark, Databricks, AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, EC2), and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
Architecture & Design: Proven experience in data modeling, data lakehouse architecture, and designing scalable, modular data pipelines for performance and maintainability.
Data Governance & Quality: Deep understanding of data lineage, schema management, validation frameworks, and governance standards (GDPR, SOC2, ISO).
Cloud & FinOps: Experience in cloud infrastructure optimization, cost management, and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
Leadership & People Development: Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams. Skilled at setting goals, measuring outcomes, and fostering psychological safety.
Delivery Excellence: Track record of delivering complex data projects with clear SLAs, documentation, and quality assurance across multiple stakeholders.

We’ve highlighted some key skills, experience and requirements for this role. But please don’t worry if you don’t meet every single one. Our talent team strives to find the best people. They might see something in your background that’s a fit for this role, or another opportunity at MiQ. If you have a passion for the role, please still apply.
