Calibration Technician

Functions / Duties:

Scheduling and performing equipment calibration. Execution of routine ESD and aerosol particle counts inside the wafer fab. Maintain all calibration documents in accordance with governing procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Performance verification, repair, diagnostics and calibration of electronic equipment.
• Performing software, modular and component level upgrades and product modifications using schematics, diagnostic tools and procedures that comply with standard industry practices.
• Perform and maintain accurate records for wafer fab particle monitoring per ISO 16644.
• Perform and maintain accurate records for wafer fab ESD testing.
• Maintaining accurate records of tests and services performed, entering required information in the company's database.
• Calibration and repair of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.
• Developing calibration procedures and selecting appropriate standards.
• Completing applicable documentation related to assignments in a timely manner.
• Complying with all EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) requirements.

Current Skills / Competencies:

• Experience with working in an electronic environment
• Familiarity with various metrology tools and their functions
• Knowledge of general purpose test equipment such as multimeters and counters as well as basic hand tools
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a proven team player and self-starter
• Strong Microsoft computer skills
• Some heavy lifting may be required

A.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technologies or equivalent experience in a related technical field. Three years of calibration experience in private industry or military service preferred.
